“Who will love my brother?”

Typewritten letter on papers

The work deals with my personal experience of separation and nostalgia but in the context of partition of Korea and its dispersed families. The work also looks into the notion of memorabilia soothing the absence of a person thus invoking his/her fond memory.

This letter is a sorrowful correspondence of Mr. Jang Sa-in to his brother Jang Sa-guk who was separated during the Korean War. The letter unfolds a personal story but is also collective experiences of pain and despair.
